Tenor John Robert Lindsey is quickly becoming known for his dynamic acting and powerful voice. Past engagements include Third Jew in Salome by Strauss, Nick in La Fanciulla del West, Marvin Heeno in the world premiere of the revised Dream of Valentino by Dominic Argento, Malcolm in Macbeth,  Count Elemer in Arabella, Edmondo in Manon Lescaut, Pang in Turandot, Ismaele in Nabucco, Jonathan Dale in the Pulitzer Prize winning production of Silent Night by Kevin Puts,  Don Jose in Carmen, Sam Polk in Susannah, and the character of Stage Manager in Our Town by Rorem, as well as covers of Dick Johnson in La Fanciulla del West, Steva in Jenufa, Macduff in Macbeth, Matteo in Arabella, and Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut. On the concert stage, he has performed as Tenor Soloist in Symphony No. 9 by Beethoven, Verdi's RequiemParables by Robert Aldridge and Herschel Garfein, the Mozart Requiem, the Mozart Mass in C Minor, and Messiah by Handel. In the summer of 2015, he was invited to participate in the International Competition for Wagnerian Voices in Bayreuth, Germany. Future engagements include debuts with Opera San Jose, Austin Opera, and Michigan Opera Theater.
